Oleksandr Usyk takes on an all-new heavyweight in Ukrainian TV advert – and it’s not in the ring

Oleksandr Usyk has tackled an all-new challenge on a Ukrainian TV advert after beating Tyson Fury.

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk collided last month in a fight to discover who was the best heavyweight of this era.

Usyk defeated Fury over 12 rounds and even looked like knocking his man out when he dropped the big man in the ninth round.

Now the undisputed champion has taken on a new heavyweight challenge outside of the ring.

Oleksandr Usyk takes on huge challenge on Ukrainian TV advert

Usyk starred in a recent Ukrainian TV advert and was given the task of devouring Ukraine’s biggest hamburger on camera.

The burger contained 1.3kg of meat and was bigger than the Ukrainian’s head, but in typical Usyk fashion, he didn’t shy away from the challenge.

The undisputed champion even jokingly took off his shirt before taking on the heavyweight burger, pretending it was an opponent in the ring.

Now that Usyk has shown he can tackle the king of the heavyweights and burgers, is there anything he can’t do?

Oleksandr Usyk not the first boxer to star in fast fast-food advert

Usyk may have put in a knockout performance when he faced Ukraine’s biggest burger, but he’s not the first boxer to feature in a fast food TV advert.

The London 2012 British Olympic team, including fellow heavyweight Anthony Joshua, starred in a commercial for Subway.

Aside from this – British boxing fan favorite Frank Bruno made his on-screen debut in a TV advert for HP sauce. And who can forget ‘Prince’ Naseem Hamed’s famous advert for Pizza Hut?
