Oleksandr Usyk gave Tyson Fury an amusing backhanded compliment during his speech at the Ring Magazine Awards.
The legendary boxer was crowned ‘The Male Fighter of the Year’.

Oleksandr Usyk calls Tyson Fury ‘Greedy Belly’ during the Ring Magazine Awards
2024 was nothing short of sensational for Oleksandr Usyk, with the icon triumphing over Tyson Fury on two separate occasions.
In their first bout, the Ukrainian exhibited a superior level of fight IQ to ‘The Gypsy King’, overcoming a sticky middle portion of the bout, to rock and almost stop, the 6ft9 giant, en route to winning on the cards.
In the rematch, despite the Englishman upping his game, Usyk adapted, outscoring his rival to claim another victory.
Thus, it was only right, that while receiving his ‘Fighter of the Year’ award, he’d throw an amusing shot in his nemesis’ direction.
During his speech, he said: “Hi everybody. First time, thank you for God. For my family, my team, and his Excellency, thank you so much.
“For me, this year was great. For me, for my team, for my country, it was very important.
“If you want to help people, if you want to give smile and give good education, smile, be happy. Thank you so much.
“And I want to say, my opponent, my best friend, Tyson Fury, Greed Belly, thank you so much. You were a great opponent.”
‘I will not pick up the phone’… Tyson Fury’s promoter makes shock claim about heavyweight’s fighting future
The low blow at the awards ceremony will only irritate Fury, who’s been relatively quiet since officially losing for the second time.
Of course, boxing fans are keen to see how he rebounds, with many clamoring for the talented operator to finally go head-to-head with Anthony Joshua.
However, his promoter, Frank Warren, doesn’t seem overly keen for his fighter to continue his career for much longer.
