Neeraj Goyat slammed for showboating in third round win

Goyat was the favorite going into the fight and asserted his dominance from the very first round as his opponent could barely land a glove.

But as the third round arrived the fans inside the stadium in Arlington, Texas were left stunned as Goyat, 33, dry-humped his opponent in the corner.

The Indian professional had been showboating already but even this had gone a step too far, with Perez shouting “Okay, what’s going on now?” while commentating on Netflix.

Despite a telling off from the referee, Goyat still showboated throughout the remainder of the fight before claiming a unanimous victory.

Boxing fans react to ’embarrassing’ Goyat moment

It’s fair to say that the 33-year-old’s actions inside the ring didn’t go down too well with those watching on.

Writing on X, one user said: “Goyat is classless. The humping should have disqualified him from the match.

“Neeraj Goyat playing a damn fool on the global stage. Embarrassing,” stated a second.

A third added: “This is embarrassing behavior by Goyat.”

Another commented: “Goyat just ruined his chances at growing with that stupid antic.”

Goyat is the number one ranked boxer in India with 18 wins from 24 fights.
