‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul will return to the ring on June 28th as he looks to improve his professional record to 12-1.
Competing for the first time since his headline-generating fight with Mike Tyson, Paul will face former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Son of one of the greatest Mexican boxers of all time, Chavez Jr. goes into the bout with a professional record of 54-6-1.
The pair will compete in California, as Paul is predicting a showcase performance.

Jake Paul predicts upcoming bout with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Former Tyron Woodley opponent Paul will compete in his fifth year as a professional when he faces Chavez Jr. However, he feels he will get to showcase new skills when he returns to the ring in June.
In footage captured by Most Valuable Promotions, Paul said, “Styles make fights, and I say that because Chavez is a come-forward fighter. He keeps his hands up, which opens up a lot of holes for me to hit him… I haven’t been able to showcase my full, new skillset to the world in a couple of fights.”
Paul went on to explain that his inability to show his skills in his previous two outings was due to his opponents. “Mike Perry was just sloppy, so I had to pick him apart. Tyson, I just didn’t want to get hit by one of his massive shots… This fight is just going to be an offensive war.”
‘The Problem Child’ added that Chavez Jr. may be the toughest test of his career so far, as well as describing the Mexican as a “very, very tough guy.”
Despite these comments, Paul said that he ‘can see an early knockout’ as Chavez Jr. “has a lot of defensive openings.” The internet star also added that he thinks Chavez Jr. is ‘very flat-footed’ and ‘very square’.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is 3-3 in his last six fights
39-year-old Chavez Jr. will go into his fight with Paul with a record of 3-3 in his last six fights. This run stretches back to December 2019 when Chavez Jr. lost to Daniel Jacobs.
The Mexican would lose successive fights after being stopped by Jacobs, losing a technical decision to Mario Abel Cazares.
A stoppage win over Jeyson Minda would come next for Chavez Jr., before once again falling short against former UFC champion Anderson Silva.
The last two fights for Chavez Jr. have been successes. Winning both fights via decision, Chavez Jr. defeated David Zegarra and former MMA fighter Uriah Hall.
