Before becoming an actor, Jamie Foxx was working as a stand-up comedian and he has recalled a terrifying situation with Mike Tyson.
Mike Tyson is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous fighters in combat sports history due to his incredible knockout power and stoic personality.
It was in the late 90’s when ‘Iron Mike’ was at the peak of his powers and after becoming the youngest fighter to ever win the heavyweight title, he catapulted himself into superstardom.

Jamie Foxx was left terrified after a joke about Mike Tyson went wrong
American actor, Jamie Foxx has recalled a situation he had with the former heavyweight king which left him terrified and fearing for his life on stage.
Prior to becoming an actor, Foxx was a stand-up comedian and in 1988 whilst doing a show, Tyson was in the crowd.
Foxx explained how he had a joke about Tyson prepared and was left standing on stage embarrassed when he told it and no one laughed because of Tyson’s presence in the crowd.
“I’ve known Mike for years, bro. I was doing stand-up comedy in 1988, and I’m killing it in the hood,” Foxx explained to LadBible.
“So, I’m in the club, I get to my Mike Tyson joke, and nobody laughs, because Mike is in the audience. A dude (with Tyson) yelled out, ‘Yo, Mike is in here’, and I was like, ‘Oh god’.
“There was a black girl in the front, she was like, ‘What are you gonna do, Jamie? You scared of Mike?’,” he continued to explain.
At that point in his career, Tyson had already won and defended several titles and was coming off wins against Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks.
“I said, ‘Chill!’, because Mike was just knocking people out for the sake of it.
“You made me laugh, you didn’t make me angry because you know what I do when I get angry, so come with me,” Tyson told Foxx.
Fortunately for the comedian-turned-actor, Tyson took the joke well and it actually resulted in the heavyweight champion driving him around in his Lamborghini truck.

The 58-year-old controversially made his return to professional boxing this past November when he took on Jake Paul in a huge fight.
Despite losing the fight via unanimous decision, Tyson picked up a huge paycheck, which was likely one of the biggest in his entire career after the event broke viewership records after being streamed on Netflix.
A few months removed from the fight, Tyson has made a huge $13m purchase of a new property in Florida.
Tyson’s new property comes with 2.7 acres as well as access to a private lake, located in the area of Delray Beach.
