Nick Ball‘s upcoming opponent had a fight with Naoya Inoue swept from beneath his feet.
On Saturday night, ‘The Wrecking Ball’ will put his WBA featherweight title on the line against Sam Goodman inside the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The bout pits two of the best in the division against each other in a contest that’s bound to create fireworks.
Ball, who once dominated Tyson Fury’s friend, Isaac Lowe, is in for a tough test against an Australian who’s waited a very long time for a world championship fight.
WOW: Naoya Inoue was wobbled by a boxing legend during a thrilling world title fight

Naoya Inoue’s teammate cut Sam Goodman ahead of his fight with Naoya Inoue
Back in December, Goodman was gearing up for a showdown with pound-for-pound superstar Naoya Inoue.
Then, in a moment of disaster, Nick Ball’s teammate cut him in sparring, preventing the warrior from getting his shot at ‘The Monster’.
In an interview with The Stomping Ground, the Scouser said: “It’s mad. It’s like it’s meant to be.
“It’s crazy. They got Brad Strand over; he went to Australia for a couple of weeks, sparring, and he ended up cutting him.
“I think it was in his last spar, so it was a nightmare. But this is boxing, these things happen.”

However, as good as the Japanese superstar is, he isn’t invincible.
While they’ve been rare, throughout his career, the power puncher has shown glimpses of vulnerability.
During an epic fight, Inoue got wobbled by a boxing icon.
