Amanda Serrano remains convinced that she will secure a monumental trilogy with Katie Taylor following their controversial rematch last Friday.
The pair went toe-to-toe in a compelling battle at the AT&T Stadium, Texas, on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson, stealing the show in front of 70,000 fans.
After ten rounds of enthralling action, though, Amanda Serrano ultimately failed her mission to exact revenge on Katie Taylor, who edged a highly contentious unanimous decision.
But still, the Puerto Rican believes that the two legends of women’s boxing will collide once again next year, revealing that negotiations are about to begin.

Mikaela Mayer calls out Amanda Serrano
Shortly after suffering her third professional defeat, Serrano accused Taylor of landing intentional headbutts throughout their contest.
And so, not only did the 36-year-old believe she had done enough to emerge victorious, but she also questioned the integrity of her opponent’s performance.
Since then, however, she has apologized for the damning comments, while also expressing her desire to face the Irishwoman in what would be a colossal trilogy.
Taylor, though, is still yet to give an update on her future in the sport after considering a potential retirement.
It goes without saying that the 38-year-old represents the most lucrative option for Serrano, who has since been called out by WBO world welterweight champion Mikaela Mayer.
Better yet, the American has even expressed an interest in going 12 three-minute rounds with Serrano, who became the first woman to do so last year.
On X, Mayer wrote: “Amanda, if Katie isn’t willing to agree to a much deserved trilogy, I will happily drop to 140 and challenge you. Would be honored to have you on my resume. I think the fans might enjoy it too.”
In the comments section, she added: “I would gladly go [12 three-minute] rounds with the champ.”
Amanda Serrano reveals that talks for Katie Taylor trilogy are imminent
A dustup with Mayer would certainly make for an intriguing clash of styles, but the size difference between both combatants would, in truth, put Serrano at a clear disadvantage.
While the remarkable icon has, indeed, become a seven-division world champion, she has equally admitted that 140 lbs is considerably higher than her natural fighting weight.
Even so, the opportunity to become the undisputed super lightweight champion carries a great deal of weight for the boxing star, who insists that she is edging closer to a third encounter with Taylor.
“Negotiations are starting asap,” she wrote in response to Mayer. “That was our deal. In our Face to Face her [and] I shook on it.
“She did mention it at her post conference so I’m confident it’s a go. Only fight I’m interested at this high weight.”
