Former UFC fighter Darren Till is now 2-0 as a boxer, with the popular scouser scoring a sensational sixth-round knockout over Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor’ at last night’s MF & DAZN X Series 20 event.
Whilst Taylor did find some early success with his patented overhand right, the former UFC title challenger was landing at will throughout the final few rounds of their exhibition bout in Manchester.
Till scored three knockdowns en route to a vicious sixth-round stoppage; with the two later seen embracing in a wholesome backstage moment that’s gone viral on social media.

Anthony Taylor and Darren Till share wholesome backstage moment
Darren Till’s sixth-round KO was brutal, even by Misfits’ standards, although not many fans realized how bad it really was until Anthony Taylor collapsed to the floor as he exited the ring.
Thankfully, after receiving medical attention and oxygen from paramedics, Taylor was quickly back under his own steam and before leaving the arena, was able to catch up with Till backstage.
“Ey there’s my dawg,” shouted Taylor from across the locker room, with ‘The Gorilla’ interrupting his greeting to make sure that ‘Pretty Boy’ really was okay after the fight.
“Yeah, yeah, ey nothing but f***** love dawg,” said Taylor, who aptly noted that “This is all part of the game.
“Tyson Fury got knocked down, [Deontay] Wilder got knocked out, and Muhammad Ali got knocked out – and that never defined who they were… It was all about what can they do in the sport of boxing and bro, you were the better man.”
Taylor did take the fight on short notice and up a weight class, with the brash America keen to remind fans that he’s “still the light heavyweight champ” of the wider Misfits Boxing promotion.
“Hopefully one day, we’ll cross paths in the future man, welcome to Misfits brother, I love you brother,” continued Taylor, who couldn’t help but get at least one jab in on Tommy Fury, Till’s original opponent.
“Now we know why Tommy Fury pulled out,” he posted shortly after the fight on X.
Darren Till names potential next opponents in expletive-laced call out
Whilst Till remains open to a future return to the octagon, his performance last night proved that he certainly has what it takes to become a promotional superstar for Misfits Boxing.
Although if the divisive boxing series is to continue growing its global broadcast, somebody might want to tell the former MMA fighter to turn down his language a peg or two.
“It’s just respect at the end of the day with my opponent, that’s all it ever is,” he initially started saying, before changing tune to the horror of the ringside commentary team.
“But here listen, F*** THAT! Jorge Masvidal, Mike Perry, Tommy Fury, f****** KSI! All of you, you’re a f***** gang of c****!”
Till would love to throwdown with KSI, but that looks unlikely after the YouTuber named former Premier League footballer Wayne Bridge as his next opponent – an unpopular choice as the crowd launched a hail of boos.
A re-scheduled bout with Fury would arguably be the biggest fight here in the UK, but we wouldn’t say no to seeing Till running it back with Jorge Masvidal; this time in the ring, rather than the cage.
It’s onwards and upwards for ‘The Gorilla’, and it’s back to the drawing board for Taylor – the next event, MF & DAZN X Series 21: KSI vs Bridge, is rumored to take place in late March.
