Despite talk of a potential super fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Moses Itauma going cold, the British star has been offered a route to a title clash with the Ukrainian.
Turning in another spellbinding victory earlier this summer, the unbeaten Moses Itauma captured the Commonwealth heavyweight crown, finishing the veteran Dillian Whyte with a savage first-round knockout.

And racking up his thirteenth professional win, Slovakian-born contender Itauma has been tied to a host of high-profile fights in his return.
Most notably, Itauma has been touted as a future threat to Oleksandr Usyk, but not just yet according to a British promoter.

Previously tied to a showdown with Australian star Justis Huni, Itauma has once more been urged to consider sharing the ring with the Queensland native in his immediate return to the ring.

As far as Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn is concerned, to boot, Huni offers Itauma a sizable challenge in his return to the ring, especially if he plans to follow through and earn a clash with undisputed champion Usyk.
“I think him (Justis Huni) and Moses (Itauma) is a great matchup,” Hearn told IFL TV. “They’re both young, they’ve both got great movement. They’re both a little bit smaller than the bigger heavyweights, but I think that’s a good fight.”
Furthermore, as far as a fight with Usyk is concerned, Hearn believes Itauma needs to build some more experience first and foremost.

“I just think, he’s really got to gain some experience to compete and beat (Oleksandr) Usyk, in my opinion,” Hearn added. “But he’s really talented. I don’t think there’s a tearing rush [on Itauma’s future].”

And while Hearn insists there is no proverbial rush on Itauma to fight Usyk, the unbeaten upstart has the minerals already to beat the Ukrainian according to another British star.
Namely, Harlem Eubank — the cousin of Chris Eubank Jr. claims the sheer size and mobility of Itauma when pitted against even Usyk gives him an immediate edge.
“He (Moses Itauma) does a lot of stuff that heavyweights don’t do,” Eubank told Seconds Out. “In a lot of ways, he moves like a middleweight.
“It makes him a very, very dangerous man in the heavyweight division.
“It’s a bold statement, but I think his style is all wrong for (Oleksandr) Usyk,” Eubank continued. “…I’m gonna take criticizm for saying it, but when you watch Usyk against the smaller guys that can move, guys like (Mairis) Briedis were his toughest challenges.”
