Moses Itauma reveals the game-changing advice he received from Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury

Moses Itauma has been touted as the next best thing ahead of his step-up fight against Dillian Whyte.

Moses Itauma seeks to move to 13-0 at the age of just 20 years old against battle-hardened veteran, Dillian ‘The Bodysnatcher’ Whyte.

Whyte is on the tail end of his career, following periods of inactivity and low-caliber opposition, all of which came after his devastating loss to Tyson Fury in 2022.

In what may be a passing of the torch fight, many have written off Whyte, and are already hailing Itauma, who sparred world champions when he was only 15, as the next king of the division.

Ahead of the fight, though, Itauma reveals that the most important lessons he got from those world champions were outside of the ring.

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua taught Moses Itauma how to manage his career

In an interview with Castillo on the One On One YouTube channel, Itauma spoke on how the most valuable lessons he learned from his interactions with world champions was not anything they taught him in sparring, or even anything related to being in the ring at all.

Itauma said, “With Tyson, I learnt more outside the ring than I did inside the ring. Bro, we was talking about contracts, lawyers, fights, how you just handle everything. Even with AJ, he, like, he gave me the time and I was like ‘What’s the best way to invest your money? What’s the difference between fighting this person and this person?’ […] It’s good to get a knowledge of people who have been where you want to go.”

Itauma’s time with these world champions is largely due to Lawrence Okolie, who sparred Itauma when he was young and has sung his praises ever since. Okolie, who is now a heavyweight, has suggested Itauma may soon become a threat to him if he dispatches Whyte.

Dillian Whyte has been written off by the boxing masses

Ahead of his fight with Itauma, 37-year-old Whyte has been written off by the majority of those in and around boxing.

Despite Whyte’s impressive weight loss and shape, he is expected to lose dramatically by most who have cast their prediction.

Tony Bellew believes Whyte will be stopped, whilst Lawrence Okolie thinks Itauma will KO Whyte quickly.

Dave Allen suggests Itauma is all wrong for Whyte, and even ‘The Bodysnatcher’s former coach, Mark Tibbs, sees Itauma winning.

Carl Frampton, Shane McGuigan, and Dave Coldwell all cast their predictions, and unanimously agree that Whyte, at this point in his career, will be unable to get past the unmovable mountain of Moses Itauma.
