Heavyweight prospect Moses Itauma has caught the attention of plenty of the top fighters in the division and could be set for a big 2025.
Currently just 20 years of age, Itauma has proven to be the heavyweight division’s newest knockout artist. With an 11-0 record, Itauma has earned nine victories through knockout, with seven stoppages in the first round.
Itauma was even hailed by Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury as the future of the heavyweight division.
The fighter from the United Kingdom could potentially be on his way to beating the record for the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history. However, he would have to claim a world title by May, 2025.
Although, despite Itauma being mentioned by Daniel Dubois, it appears as if he will not be next to challenge for the IBF World Heavyweight title.
Currently not scheduled to fight, Itauma will look to continue his ascent up the heavyweight standings in his next bout. This includes fighting more prolific names in the division.

Moses Itauma keen to fight up the heavyweight division
There has been much speculation as to who Itauma will fight next as the young fighter aims to build his name and improve his form.
Speaking to TalkSport, Itauma was asked about some names in the division and how he felt about potentially facing them. The two key names mentioned by the interviewer were Filip Hrgovic and Justis Huni, whom Itauma welcomed challenges from.
“I invite all of all them fights. Listen, I’m confident in myself… I’ve been boxing for more than half of my life, I’m confident when I get into the ring with these guys. It’s not a new sport to me.”
Croatian Hrgovic currently boasts a professional record of 17-1, having suffered the first defeat of his career last year. Hrgovic was stopped in round eight by Dubois, who claimed the IBF Interim World Heavyweight championship.
As for Huni, the 12-0 Australian is a fellow prospect in the division, aged just 25. Among Huni’s 12 professional wins include seven knockouts. His most recent win came in January of 2025 when he scored a second-round TKO over Shaun Potgieter, potentially setting up a fight with Itauma.
Moses Itauma welcomes Daniel Dubois match in coming months
Despite his age, Itauma has said that he would welcome a fight with Dubois in 2025.
Speaking to Sky Sports about a potential Dubois fight, Itauma said “If the fight was to be presented to me I would 100% take it.”
However, the 20-year-old did acknowledge that his current standing in the heavyweight division would not warrant an opportunity at a world title.
“As of right now, you need to be in position to fight for the belts.”
Itauma is currently ranked number 37 in the WBC heavyweight division.
