Manny Pacquiao vs Mario Barrios will see a battle of experience and youth on July 19th, 2025’s biggest night of boxing.
Manny Pacquiao seeks to defy his doubters and his age as he runs headfirst into a world title contest after having not won a fight for six years.
Barrios is 29-2-1 having lost only to Gervonta Davis and Keith Thurman, the last man Pacquiao beat.
Ahead of the fight, Barrios’ trainer, Bob Santos, spoke on the upcoming fight and his one fear regarding it.

Barrios’ trainer fears a flawed decision ahead of Pacquiao fight
In an interview with Boxing News, Santos said, “We’re prepared for the Pacquiao that beat Keith Thurman. I told many people, obviously, I picked Keith Thurman to beat Manny Pacquiao. I thought Keith Thurman […] was a much better athlete, great feet, big puncher, naturally big guy.”
“The next thing I know, you know, [Thurman’s] on the deck. The next thing I know, they’re raising Manny Pacquiao’s hand.”
“We can’t allow him to do that to us on July 19th.”
Santos suggested Pacquiao’s legendary status got him the win over Thurman, and doesn’t want any biased scoring against his man on 2025’s biggest night of boxing.
