Manny Pacquiao would beat 30-year-old pound-for-pound star according to former world champion

Plenty of boxing fans were impressed with Manny Pacquiao’s 2025 return, as he faced reigning world champion Mario Barrios.

Although Pacquiao and Barrios fought to a draw for the WBC World Welterweight title, ‘Pac-Man’ had a good showing at 46 years of age.

It is currently unclear as to whether or not Pacquiao will get another chance to get the better of Barrios, as he is also eyeing a fight with Floyd Mayweather.

There is another major star in the sport that one former champion feels would not be able to get the better of Pacquiao.

Tim Bradley believes that Manny Pacquiao would beat Gervonta Davis in a fight

Pacquiao went into his fight with Barrios as a significant underdog in what was his first professional outing in four years. However, the Filipino legend proved the odds wrong.

His performance would likely change many people’s predictions in terms of future fights for Pacquiao. This seems to be the case for former world champion Tim Bradley.

Bradley has held world titles at both super lightweight and welterweight, as well as being a former Pacquiao opponent. Losing twice to Pacquiao in 2014 and 2016, Bradley is very familiar with his former foe.

In what could be considered a surprising statement, Bradley said in an interview with Fight Hub TV that Gervonta Davis would lose to Pacquiao in a fight. “He [Davis] is going to get beat by Manny Pacquiao.”

Davis’ last outing saw him draw with Lamont Roach, as his record changed to 30-0-1. However, Bradley believes it’s the mindset of ‘Tank’ that could cost him future fights.

Tim Bradley criticizes the mentality of Gervonta Davis

Bradley was less than complimentary when it came to talking about Davis in his interview with Fight Hub TV.

The former world champion said, “Tank is done. Tank has hung them up, shoes off, get the bag, put a plaque up, he’s done.”

Bradley said he believes that Davis has ‘checked out mentally’, which is why he feels he would lose a fight to Pacquiao. “Tank is gone, mentally. Tank is looking for the big bag, the Jake Paul, Pacquiao, and he’s looking to [retire].”

Despite Shakur Stevenson targeting a fight with Davis, Bradley believes that ‘Tank’ would not accept that fight, even if he was offered a substantial amount of money.

Bradley added that Davis is ‘sick of the sport of boxing’.
