‘Knocked out’… Popular heavyweight breaks down sparring session with Oleksandr Usyk

Oleksandr Usyk once rocked a beloved heavyweight to his core, with the recipient of the punch confessing that the Ukrainian got the better of him.

While many know the heavyweight champion for his slick boxing skills, his punches can have an accumulative effect.

Dave Allen claims Oleksandr Usyk knocked him out in sparring

Throughout his career, Dave Allen has developed a reputation for his iron jaw, with ‘The Doncaster De La Hoya’ going the distance with Dillian Whyte and taking some thudding blows from Luis Ortiz.

However, during a spar with Oleksandr Usyk, he was nailed with a shot so hard, it nearly left him flat on the canvas.

At the time, Allen shared a clip of the session, in which his adversary is working out in a pair of boxers and a vest.

Noticing the Englishman’s hands down, Usyk detonated a devastating hook, which left ‘The White Rhino’ in a state of disarray.

Opening up about the experience, Allen said: “If you can hear at around the five-second mark, I do a very loud snore—this is my last idea of what happened for the next 30 minutes.

“I didn’t go down, and I finished the round, but for all intents and purposes, I’m knocked out from the second the left lands.”
