Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano’s highly-anticipated trilogy won’t come to Dublin’s Croke Park this year.
The pair initially headlined an historic sold out Madison Square Garden in April 2022, breaking gate and viewership records for women’s boxing. Their second meeting came at the AT&T Stadium last November in the co-main event of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson.
Over 74million viewers in 50million households tuned in on Netflix for the rematch, making it the biggest women’s sporting event of all time. Despite Taylor winning both times, there is still keen interest in a trilogy given how razor-close both fights were.

Eddie Hearn shuts down Croke Park talk for Katie Taylor v Amanda Serrano trilogy
Both of the first Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano fights took place in America, and likely favored Jake Paul’s charge given their location. The first bout took part in her home town of New York City, while the second was explicitly on her show as part of Most Valuable Promotions in Texas.
However, Taylor won’t be given home court advantage again as it looks as though the second bout is heading to America once again. The most money can clearly be made in the United States, despite a crowd of over 80,000 being able to fill out Croke Park in Ireland.
“We’re negotiating with Nakisa Bidarian and MVP and we’re pretty close,” Hearn told Bloody Knockout in an exclusive chat. “We’ll let them make any announcements. I think Nakisa handles the business and Jake is well aware of what’s happening.

“We’ve got a decent relationship with them to be honest with you. Away from our differences, we both want to make the fight. I think there’s a very good chance it will happen and in the summer; Taylor-Serrano 3, fingers crossed.”
Asked if he feels the fight could land in Croke Park, however, he was quick to shut down the suggestion, adding: “No, I think it will be in America.”
Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano trilogy demanded despite score being 2-0
The legendary women’s boxing duo are two of the greatest pound-for-pound fighters in the world, male or female. Serrano has won world titles in multiple weight divisions, and has been undisputed at featherweight.
Meanwhile Taylor is likely the greatest female boxer of all time, and has managed to defeat all of her professional opponents. The Irish woman was a key figure in getting women’s boxing to the Olympics and ended up winning gold, before turning pro later in her career.
Her first bout with Serrano at Madison Square Garden ended in split decision. Her knee came within inches of touching the canvas and scoring a knockdown for her rival that would have swayed the fight, and a rematch was quickly booked.
It ended up being pushed back for years due to first a Serrano injury and then a Mike Tyson illness. But when they did fight again, it was just as close with the Bray native getting the nod from all three judges in a controversial decision that had fans clamouring to see it one more time.
