Katie Taylor will go into yet another blockbuster fight on Friday night when she takes on her biggest rival Amanda Serrano.
The third installment of the Taylor vs Serrano feud will take place at Madison Square Garden, where it all started for the two fighters.
From Taylor having to change her appearance to look like a boy to compete as an amateur, to becoming an undisputed world champion, it’s been a long road for the great.
Going into her 26th professional fight, Taylor has exceeded everybody’s expectations in terms of her career accomplishments. Now, at age 39, many have speculated about how many fights the Irish woman has left.

Katie Taylor says it’s hard to turn down big fights but is focused on Amanda Serrano trilogy
Taylor and Serrano met for the first time in 2022, and will have their third, and likely last, fight three years later.
Up two to nothing in the fight series, Taylor will be looking for a clean sweep of victories against the Puerto Rican. However, win or lose, it is unclear whether it will be Taylor’s final fight.
In a recent interview with IFL TV, Taylor was asked about what the future might hold for her.
Taylor was posed with a question regarding a potential return to fight in her home country following her Serrano meeting. The champion’s response was, “You can ask me that question after Friday night.”
“I’m just focused on Friday night, obviously, at this stage,” Taylor added. “It is hard for me to say no though, it is hard for me to turn down big fights and special occasions.”
Taylor went on to say how much she loved being part of huge events, ahead of what is her second time headlining a boxing event at Madison Square Garden. “Another history-making night. I didn’t think it could get any bigger than the first one, but here we are.”
Who could Katie Taylor fight after Amanda Serrano trilogy is completed?
It will likely be a long time before women’s boxing will have another rivalry that is conducted at the same magnitude as Taylor and Serrano’s, if ever.
This means that future fights for Taylor after facing Serrano for a third time may not reach the same heights. However, there are some viable options for the fighter from Bray, Ireland.
Another trilogy the champion could compete in is with Chantelle Cameron. The English fighter spoiled Taylor’s homecoming fight in 2023 as Cameron was the victor in Dublin.
Getting revenge six months later, Taylor was able to level the fight series at one apiece. A rubber match would be of huge interest to boxing fans as Cameron is seeking her third successive win on Taylor’s undercard since losing the rematch.
UFC legend Holly Holm is another option for Taylor. The former world champion made her return to the boxing ring in June, and would be a huge name for a potential retirement fight for Taylor.
Both a legitimate contender and a combat sports star, a meeting between Taylor and Holm is a more-than-worthy fight for an event in Croke Park, Ireland.
With a capacity of over 82,000, Croke Park has been mentioned as a venue for a Taylor fight for years now.
