Jake Paul will make his return to the ring on June 28th when he takes on former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
‘The Problem Child’ will compete for the first time since his headline bout against Mike Tyson in 2024, where Paul was the victor via unanimous decision.
As for Chavez Jr., son of one of the greatest Mexican boxers of all time, his last outing was in July 2024 against former MMA fighter Uriah Hall. Chavez Jr. won the bout via unanimous decision.
The pair will meet in California as Paul will look to add a second former world champion to his resume. However, the bout has a mixed perception, including one fan favorite bashing the bout.

Tony Bellew critiques Jake Paul over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fight
Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew has shared his thoughts on Paul’s upcoming fight against Chavez Jr.
Speaking to SportingTalk, Bellew said that Chavez Jr. isn’t taking the fight seriously against Paul. As well as that, Bellew feels 39-year-old Chavez Jr. is not naturally close to cruiserweight, which is the weight class he will face Paul in.
“Jake Paul ain’t making matches to lose,” Bellew said. “Whoever Jake Paul is picking, he’s going to beat.”
Former Oleksandr Usyk opponent Bellew then said that he felt there were reasons why Paul wouldn’t pick alternative opponents in Carl Froch or a rematch with Tommy Fury, implying they would be difficult match-ups.
“He’s [Paul] fighting granddads. Which is just wrong. It’s just wrong on every level.”
Tony Bellew campaigns for Jake Paul vs KSI
As well as mentioning Fury and Froch as potential alternative opponents for Paul, Bellew expressed his desire to see KSI get an opportunity with ‘The Problem Child’.
“I’d like to see him face JJ, KSI,” Bellew said. “I think KSI has so much ability, athletically as a specimen.”
Paul and KSI have a rivalry that extends back a number of years, as the two are YouTube and internet stars.

Jake Paul has faced KSI’s brother Deji in a boxing match. As well as this, KSI has faced Logan Paul, brother of Jake, in a brace of fights in 2018 and 2019.
Despite the two seemingly expressing interest in a bout with one another, a fight between Paul and KSI has not yet been scheduled.
