Jaron Ennis secured a career-best win over Eimantas Stanionis in a unification of the IBF, WBA, and Ring titles.
Jaron Ennis has improved to 34-0 with the 30th knockout win of his career over previously undefeated 15-0 Eimantas Stanionis.
The fight was viewed as a great match-up ahead of their clash, but Ennis proved to be levels above on the night as Stanionis was unable to weather Ennis’ storm, resulting in a sixth-round stoppage.
The action wasn’t limited to the main event though, as the undercard saw a rather bizarre occurrence involving not the fighters, but the referee.

Referee falls flat on his back mid-fight ahead of Jaron Ennis vs Eimantas Stanionis
On the undercard of Ennis, who fought a no-contest with Chris Van Heerden, vs Stanionis, Arturo Cardenas scored his ninth stoppage win over 9-7-1 Edgar Cortes, moving to a 16-0-1 record.
It was in the final round of their fight, ahead of the stoppage, that the strange incident occurred when referee Charlie Fitch seemingly fell to the canvas for no reason.
The commentators can be heard saying: “Charlie the ref goes down!”
Fans were quick to make jokes on the humorous incident, with one saying: “So who does the count?”
The main event was later met with much applause as Ennis impressed yet again. Karen Chukhadzhian is the only man Ennis couldn’t stop since 2017 across 24 rounds shared.
Shakhram Giyasov won the most meaningful fight of his career on Jaron Ennis Eimantas Stanionis card after tragedy befell his family
16-0 Shakhram Giyasov improved to 17-0 with a fourth-round knockout win over 17-2 Franco Ocampo.
Giyasov announced earlier this year that his daughter tragically passed away, and stated in his post-fight interview why this fight meant so much to him:
“I promised her I would be world champion.”
Giyasov is now next in line for the title and hopes to find success after such a tragedy.
Also on the undercard was Raymond Ford, who scored his second win since losing to Nick Ball.
