Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis and Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez are two of boxing’s most captivating stars, with both displaying early signs of potential to reach legendary status.
The sparkling talents will defend their world titles in a double-header on November 9, taking on two rather uninspiring contenders at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center.
‘Boots’ gears up to face IBF mandatory challenger Karen Chukhadzhian, a Ukrainian welterweight who he comprehensively outboxed through 12 rounds earlier last year.
‘Bam’, meanwhile, prepares to defend his WBC world flyweight trinket against interim champion Pedro Guevara who, despite defeating Andrew Moloney in his last outing, is by no means on the American’s level.

Robert Garcia reveals plans for Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez to face Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez
Rodriguez comes off a destructive display against Mexican legend Juan Francisco Estrada, overcoming a flash knockdown to score a seventh-round stoppage over his seasoned opponent.
Since then, the 24-year-old has expressed a desire to unify the belts in his division, but equally acknowledges that a clash with Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez would propel him towards super stardom.
Chocolatito is undoubtedly one of the greatest fighters to ever grace boxing’s lower divisions and, even at the age of 37, the Nicaraguan continues to enhance his decorated legacy.
And so, Rodruguez’s trainer, Robert Garcia, has hinted at the possibility of a clash between the pair, who have previously shared rounds in sparring.
“Bam only wants to fight the fights that mean something, the ones that make sense,” Garcia told BoxingScene.
“If there’s no unification available, why not do it against Chocolatito? [It’s a] huge fight.
“It was great sparring [between Rodriguez and Chocolatito]. I’m not saying he got the best of us, but I’m not saying we got the best of him. All three [rounds] were very even.
“[Gonzalez] thinks he got the best? He threw a lot of punches [in the sparring sessions]. It’d be a heck of a fight.”

Robert Garcia teases Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis vs Vergil Ortiz Jr showdown on same card as Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez
Garcia, who also trains super welterweight sensation Vergil Ortiz Jr, has revealed that boxing power broker Turki Alalshikh is interested in staging a Riyadh Season card featuring both Ennis and Rodriguez on February 22.
At this stage, the plan is seemingly for Ennis to face Ortiz in a mouthwatering showdown to complement the compelling matchup between Bam and Chocolatito.
Ennis and Ortiz have, in fact, been on a collision course since they first turned professional.
And yet, only now does it finally seem plausible that the two unbeaten Americans could put their flawless records on the line in an almighty dustup.
