‘Jake Paul’s next opponent’… Boxing fans react to footage of George Foreman hitting heavy bag at 74 years old

Boxing fans have hilariously taken jabs at Jake Paul after 74-year-old, George Foreman posted a video of him hitting the heavy bag.

Since his emergence in the boxing world, Jake Paul has divided fans of the sport as well as fellow competitors, with people being split on whether he is good or bad for boxing.

Despite that, he received a lot of criticism for his fight this past November against Mike Tyson, as there was a huge 31-year age gap between the two and Tyson has several health issues going into the fight.

With ‘The Problem Child’ looking to return to the ring, fans are wondering who he will hand pick to be his next opponent.

Fans fire shots at Jake Paul after George Foreman posts video on heavy bag

With Paul’s emergence in the boxing world, former pro’s are consistently coming out of retirement to once again test themselves in the ring, hoping to score a fight against the internet sensation.

Following his win over Tyson, Paul was called out by Canelo Alvarez who stated that he’d fight him but the fight doesn’t seem like it’ll come to fruition.

One boxer who has gotten himself back in the gym recently, is the oldest heavyweight champion ever, George Foreman. The 74-year-old won the heavyweight title when he was 45 years old and retired just a few years after.

The former heavyweight star recently shared a video online of him back in the gym, punching the heavy bag, showcasing that he still has blistering power.

Because of Jake Paul’s track record, fans took this chance to fire shots at him, claiming that he will probably pick Foreman as his next opponent.

In the video, Foreman says: “I’m ready for a comeback, again.”

Hopefully for the sake of the former champion, his comments were just a joke and he isn’t actually considering a comeback to boxing at 74 years old.

“Looks like the just found Jake Paul’s next opponent,” one fan commented.

“He’d literally kill Jake Paul in the ring,” another more confident fan commented.

Since turning professional, ‘The Problem Child’ has only fought a few fellow professionals near his age.

“Stop, don’t give Jake Paul any more ideas! Lol,” one fan jabbed.

Who could Jake Paul fight next?

It is unclear whether Paul will return to the boxing ring next or if he will finally make his long awaited debut in MMA, after signing for the PFL several years ago.

The 28-year-old has been involved in a recent feud with Conor McGregor, after McGregor revealed he was in talks to fight Logan Paul in boxing.

Not long after, it seemed as though Jake could have sniped the fight away from his brother as rumors began to circulate that the fight could end up being between McGregor and Jake.

Despite that, talks have since simmered down between the three, leaving Jake’s next move unclear.

It remains to be seen whether the 28-year-old will fight a current boxing champion or if he will once again handpick a former pro to come out of retirement and take him on.
