Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. could be determined by interesting ‘subtle decider’, according to ex-world champion

Jake Paul might have the edge over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. for one reason, according to a former boxing star.

Tomorrow night, ‘The Problem Child’ will go to war with the son of a legend, inside the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, USA.

While the Mexican would’ve likely had too much for the YouTuber in his prime, in recent years, he’s looked a shadow of the man who once held the WBC title. Roy Jones Jr. says Chavez Jr. hasn’t been the same since his loss to Sergio Martinez.

Sadly, a lack of discipline has plagued the former middleweight champion’s career, and it could come to haunt him on Saturday evening.

Jake Paul will beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. according to Tim Bradley

Tim Bradley believes Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. may have a superior boxing IQ to Jake Paul.

However, with the 39-year-old having failed to take his career seriously, the former welterweight world champion thinks it could give the social media star an opportunity to pull off his biggest victory to date.

In an article written for ESPN, Bradley said: “I see this as a match-up of two fighters on different boxing journeys: one born into the sport and taking it for granted, the other finding a niche in the sport by playing his cards right while grinding under the spotlight.

“I believe the difference in experience, Chavez’s natural feel for the ring against Paul’s ruthless, undeniable drive to prove himself could be the subtle decider of who wins. So, can Chavez beat Paul? Absolutely. But I don’t think he will.”

After all, he has experience trading leather with the child of a former heavyweight world champion.

In a heated sparring session, Paul landed bombs on the son of an icon.
