Jake Paul set to stage biggest card in women’s boxing, with the return of one controversial champion

Jake Paul’s MVP Promotions will stage the third installment of Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano, and the undercard is just as huge.

Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano fought another extremely close contest back in November on the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson undercard.

Taylor, who came out on top once more, has only been bested by Chantelle Cameron, though Taylor avenged the Cameron loss in their rematch.

The card, which will be shown on Netflix, will be the biggest in women’s boxing, and features six world title fights featuring several well-known female fighters.

Headlining the card is, of course, Taylor vs Serrano 3, a fight many have called for despite the score being 2-0 Taylor, whose first fight with Serrano was a fight of the year contender.

On the undercard, though, there are several high-profile female fighters defending or unifying their world titles.

Ellie Scotney hopes to add the WBC Super bantamweight title to her collection against Yamileth Mercado, whilst Savannah Marshall makes her long-awaited return against Shadasia Green.

Marshall has not fought since she beat Franchon Crews-Dezurn in 2023.

Chantelle Cameron puts her interim WBC super lightweight title on the line, whilst Ramla Ali also features on the card.

Cherneka Johnson will hope to pick up not one but two vacant bantamweight world titles against Shurretta Metcalf, and one controversial champion will also return to the ring.

Alycia ‘The Bomb’ Baumgardner will return after one win in two years and a positive PED test

Alycia Baumgardner is set to defend her unified world super bantamweight titles against 12-0 Jennifer Miranda.

Baumgardner fought once last year, but the fight was halted early due to a clash of heads.

Before that, she beat Christina Linardatou, the only women to ever beat her, in a rematch.

She was found to have had an adverse result to a PED test in 2023, though she has since been found not guilty of intentionally taking a banned substance.
