Jake Paul rival claims hidden contract clause will prevent Mike Tyson KO

One of Jake Paul’s boxing rivals has sensationally claimed that there is a clause that will prevent Mike Tyson from knocking him out when the two fight this weekend.

After months of waiting the long-awaited grudge match between the YouTuber-turned-boxer and ‘Iron’ Mike has come.

The two will fight at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas on Friday 15 November 2024 after their original 20 July bout was rescheduled due to Tyson suffering an ulcer flare-up.

Despite concerns about the 58-year-old’s health the fight has been sanctioned as a professional bout and will go on both of their records.

Recent footage of Tyson in action ahead of the fight has left some people fearing the worst for Paul but according to one former champion, it’s the 27-year-old who will be given the upper hand.

Carl Froch claims there is no knockout rule in Paul vs Tyson contract

Mike Tyson is well known to many as one of the best heavyweight fighters of all time. In his 56 professional fights, 44 of his wins came via knockout.

In comparison to Jake Paul’s more modest – but shorter – career of 10 wins from 11 fights, many believe that a quick knockout could be on the cards but if Carl Froch is to be believed, that may not be the case.

The former super middleweight champion admitted that it was only something he had allegedly heard but also felt that it was wrong to dub this fight as a professional boxing match given Tyson’s age and time out of the ring.

Jake Paul denies no knockout clause claims

Rumors about a no-knockout clause have been rife ever since the fight was sanctioned but Paul and his team have continuously denied those suggestions.

In his most recent interview, the 27-year-old said a knockout win “is already written” as he prepares for the biggest night of his career so far.

The rules for the fight, sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation also confirmed this too, stating that no headgear would be worn and that both fighters would be permitted to knock each other out, as per a traditional professional fight.

Paul and Tyson will also wear 14oz gloves for the fight and compete across eight two-minute rounds to determine the winner.
