Jake Paul handed Mike Tyson his seventh, and hopefully final, professional defeat in their heavyweight match at the end of last year.
Jake Paul defeated an aged and weathered Mike Tyson in what turned out to be a sad watch for most boxing fans.
The depleted legend was carried the distance by Paul in Netflix’s first foray into boxing, and the bout ended with an inevitable win for the younger man.
Despite the fight being entirely one-sided, Paul commended one trait in particular of Tyson’s.

‘He just disappears out of nowhere’… Jake Paul commends Mike Tyson after lopsided fight
In an appearance on The Iced Coffee Hour, Paul, who has earned over $150M since beginning boxing, spoke on the one trait that surprised him about Tyson – his speed.
“What was surprising about Mike Tyson was how hard it was to hit him. Like his movement and getting out of the way of punches, he’s like lightning fast even at his age.”
Paul, who considered fighting his brother, appears grateful for his time in the ring with the heavyweight legend, stating:
“I got to see and understand like his, what made him an icon, was that style where he just disappears out of nowhere, and that was definitely shocking.”
‘Funniest s— ever’… Jake Paul laughs about Mike Tyson’s wardrobe malfunction
Ahead of the fight, Tyson was interviewed in his locker room, and as he walked away, viewers were treated to a glimpse of Tyson’s bare behind.

Paul, who has retired 75% of his opponents, spoke on the podcast about the wardrobe malfunction:
“I thought it was the funniest s— ever. I guess he doesn’t wear underwear like under his cup, and I think he just wasn’t thinking. […] You can do whatever you want when you’re Mike Tyson.”
Jake Paul will face Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. later this month. Chavez Jr. is a former middleweight world champion, but has been inactive in recent years.
