Jake Paul names fight he wants to see ‘as a fan’ as he names alternative option for targeted opponent

Jake Paul added another win to his professional resume when he defeated former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on Saturday night.

Surviving a late push from the Mexican, Paul earned a convincing unanimous decision win over Chavez Jr. in the headline bout.

The pair competed in a cruiserweight bout that headlined an event in California as Gilberto Ramirez defended his world titles and Holly Holm returned to boxing action.

Following his showing against the former world champion, Paul had an ambitious list of names for his callout, spanning a wide range of weight classes.

Jake Paul named five fighters as potential opponents in post-fight interview

After he was announced as the winner, Paul was eager to call out some names when conducting his post-fight interview in ring with Ariel Helwani.

When asked who he wants to face next, ‘The Problem Child’ had a versatile hit-list as he spanned from lightweight to heavyweight.

Lightweight champion Gervonta Davis was among the list, alongside cruiserweight champions Ramirez and Badou Jack.

Former rival Tommy Fury was also a name that Paul mentioned, as ‘TNT’ is the only fighter to hold a win over the internet star. In a recent interview, Fury said he expected the Paul rematch to take place in the next 12 months.

The heaviest opponent that Paul mentioned is former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, who has not competed since his 2024 loss to Daniel Dubois.

Jake Paul wants to see Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury despite ‘AJ’ call out

In his post-fight press conference, Paul was asked what boxing fight he would like to see as a fan that he himself would not be involved in.

“I think the fight I would like to see in boxing, as a fan, is Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury,” Paul said.

Fury notably retired at the start of the year following his second consecutive loss to Oleksandr Usyk. However, fans are still hopeful that the ‘Gypsy King’ will emerge for a huge British dust-up with Joshua.
