Jake Paul is ranked just two places below a terrifying fighter with a 94.4% knockout ratio

Jake Paul is now just behind one of the cruiserweight division’s biggest punchers.

On Saturday night, ‘The Problem Child’ cruised to victory against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, USA.

Jake Paul is ranked two spots below Aleksei Papin

Following his most significant win to date, Jake Paul has landed at number 14 in the official WBA rankings.

While that moves him one step closer to achieving his dream of fighting Gilberto Ramirez to become world champion, it certainly won’t be easy for him to get there.

Currently, the twelfth-ranked fighter in the sanctioning body’s rankings is Aleksei Papin.

The former kickboxing world title challenger has looked exceptional inside the boxing ring, amassing a record of 18-1 (1) with 17 of his wins coming via stoppage, giving him a stunning 94.4% KO ratio.

His only defeat came against Ilunga Makabu, who’d eventually win the WBC world title.

The thunderous puncher, who defeated Felix Valera for the WBA Asia cruiserweight world title, is just one example of the dangerous athletes that Paul has now landed among.
