Jake Paul is capable of becoming world champion according to a boxing legend… ‘He can knock anybody out’

Jake Paul has the power to conquer the world of boxing, according to one of the greatest of all time.

Throughout his stint in combat sports, ‘The Problem Child’ has garnered a reputation for his crazy antics. Paul once even provoked Floyd Mayweather by stealing his hat.

However, while he’s definitely a showman, his performances inside the ring suggest he’s a class above most, if not all, of the other crossover boxers.

One icon actually rates him highly enough to suggest winning a world title isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

Roy Jones Jr. thinks Jake Paul can become world champion

On June 28, Jake Paul will go to war with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, USA.

A victory against the former world champion could propel the American towards a shot at claiming a belt for himself.

And Roy Jones Jr. believes the YouTuber has the talent to potentially scale the boxing mountain.

In a recent interview, the 56-year-old said: The whole purpose [behind the fight] is creating the argument for Jake Paul to fight for a world title. That’s what he really wants to do. And it’s not bad the way he’s going about it. He’s creating that argument, and eventually, if he keeps going, he’ll get a shot.

“I ain’t gonna say that [he will win a title], but he’ll get a shot depending on who the opponent is, and he has the power to win anything. He can knock anybody out.”

Roy Jones Jr. calls out Mike Tyson

While Jones Jr. is looking forward to watching Paul take on Chavez Jr, he’s even more excited about the prospect of returning to the ring himself.

The four-weight world champion would love to go to war with Mike Tyson.

The pair previously went toe-to-toe in an exhibition in 2020.

Now, Jones Jr has expressed an interest in fighting Tyson once more.
