Miguel Cotto was a four-weight world champion in boxing and has only been handed losses by the best of the best.
Miguel Cotto holds wins over the likes of Paulie Malignaggi, Shane Mosley, and Zab Judah, and has even shared the ring with the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Canelo Alvarez.
However, he is extremely confident that Floyd Mayweather is by far and away the best fighter he has come up against.

Miguel Cotto talks fighting the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao, and Floyd Mayweather
After winning the WBO welterweight title against Michael Jennings in 2009, Cotto went on to successfully defend it later that year against Joshua Clottey.
He was then matched up with ‘Pac Man’ in November, subsequently losing the title after suffering a 12th-round TKO loss.
Cotto then went on to win the light middleweight title after his loss to Pacquiao, defending it twice and exacting revenge over Antonio Margarito.
He was then given the biggest fight of his career against ‘Money’ Mayweather in 2012, losing his light middleweight title via unanimous decision.
Fast forward three years and having won the WBC and The Ring Magazine middleweight titles, he was matched up with Canelo Alvarez. Cotto lost a unanimous decision and called it a day on his career not long after.
Having fought three of the best fighters out there, Cotto has no doubt in admitting Mayweather was far and away the toughest of the three.
“Best one? I think Floyd without a doubt,” Cotto told FightHype.
“Floyd Mayweather was good. Yeah (over Pacquiao). Different fighters,” he continued.
Floyd Mayweather breaks his silence on viral video
A video recently circulated online of Mayweather during a shopping trip in London, England, which has since gone viral after fans began to speculate that the boxing icon was physically harmed.
Despite that, the 47-year-old came out and issued an official statement following the incident, insisting that he wasn’t harmed and that ‘jealousy and negativity’ fueled the rumors that he was hurt in the process.
Although Mayweather has slowed down his professional career, the star continues to make an obscene amount of money by fighting in exhibition fights.
His last came against John Gotti III this past August after their first exhibition bout was stopped early because of a disqualification, which resulted in a post-fight brawl.
