Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn had to be separated after a heated altercation at the 2025 Ring Awards in London.
Polarizing boxing stars Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn came face-to-face on the red carpet of the 2025 Ring Awards, and things escalated quickly.
Garcia and Benn are both plotting their returns to the boxing ring in 2025 after lengthy absences. After his expulsion from WBC, Garcia is set to return from a drug test-related suspension later this year, potentially in a rematch against either Gervonta Davis or Devin Haney.
In the meantime, Garcia is enjoying some time off as he moves closer to booking his pro boxing return. He appeared at the 2025 Ring Awards in London and came face-to-face with Benn, another controversial star in the sport.
Both boxers were fired up as they showcased on the red carpet. In the middle of an interview with iFL TV, Garcia ran into Benn, and things quickly turned chaotic before security personnel intervened.

Despite an initially cordial interaction, things quickly pivoted between Garcia and Benn. Light-hearted fight talks got heated and Benn shoved Garcia as their two teams attempted to de-escalate the situation.
Benn and Garcia don’t have extensive history, but Benn was extremely critical of Garcia’s post-fight antics after his controversial win over Haney last April. After initially earning a majority decision win, Garcia’s victory was later overturned to a no-contest due to a failed drug test.
Garcia was expelled by WBC after a series of racist remarks on social media in the weeks after the Haney fight. Benn was one of many boxing personalities to bash Garcia for his rhetoric and actions outside of the ring.
Months after the controversies, Benn and Garcia are looking to put their checkered pasts behind them in 2025. Benn has yet to reapply to fight professionally in the UK, but a potential fight with Garcia is a new venture to consider.

Ryan Garcia vs. Conor Benn on the horizon?
Meanwhile, Benn hasn’t competed since a win over Peter Dobson last February, defeating Dobson by unanimous decision. The 23-0 UK standout has defeated the likes of Chris Algieri, Samuel Vargas, and Rodolfo Orozco during his boxing career.
Garcia’s lone defeat came against Gervonta Davis in April 2023 by TKO. Since then, he’s knocked out Oscar Duarte in a catchweight bout before his no-contest against Haney.
As of this writing, Garcia and Benn’s professional boxing returns haven’t been booked for 2025. A potential clash between them could be discussed after their heated run-in at the 2025 Ring Awards.
