Seemingly gathering more pace on a potential grudge match, a veteran boxing personality has voiced their concern about a clash between Carl Froch and Darren Till.
Turning in his third straight win of the year over the weekend, former UFC star Darren Till headlined Misfits Boxing 22 with an emphatic knockout of Luke Rockhold.

Sitting ringside in Manchester was former WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch, a distinct rival of Till.
Linked with a potential December return to snap an 11-year retirement, Froch’s potential fight with Till is cause for concern, according to a veteran analyst.
Gareth A. Davies worried about Carl Froch vs. Darren Till matchup
Sharing his thoughts on the bitter feud between Nottingham native Froch and former welterweight title challenger, Till, Gareth A. Davies is firstly unsure if a bout between the duo is even possible.

However, if a December matchup materializes, Davies could not hide his concern for Froch and the health issues he could face by fighting boxing upstart Till.
“Carl (Froch) won’t like this,” Davies told IFL TV. “But, he’s been out of the ring too long. And I’d be worried for his health (against Darren Till).
“And it’s not on a technical level, what is he, 52? Yeah, 46. …I think Carl would probably want upwards of a few million to get in there [the ring]. They’d have to work really hard to sell a big venue out.”
And it’s not just Davies who has voiced their pessimism regarding the potential pairing; a high-profile promoter has suggested the bout is dead in the water already.
Eddie Hearn unsure if Carl Froch would return to the ring
Himself weighing in on the debate between Froch and Till, Matchroom Boxing leader Eddie Hearn is less than optimistic that a fight can even happen as soon as December.

As far as Hearn is concerned, in fact, when it comes to finances, he is doubtful whether or not there is enough compensation on the line for Froch to enter the ring for the first time since his 2014 retirement win over George Groves.
“I think it’s a cracking fight,” Till told IFL TV of Froch vs. Till. “I don’t think Carl should be boxing again, but this is a bit different.
“He won’t do it,” Hearn said of Froch. “‘Cause it’s not enough money. I don’t think there’s enough money for Carl. Because if Carl got beat to (sic) Darren Till, it would be a tough pill to swallow.
