Terence Crawford will face Canelo for the undisputed super-middleweight titles in his next, and biggest, fight.
Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford is taking a big risk in moving up two divisions to put his undefeated record on the line against Canelo Alvarez in a must-see mega-fight headlining on Netflix.
Crawford struggled against Israil Madrimov last time out, with many suggesting if he struggled to get the win at that weight, how will he fare two divisions higher?
The Omaha fighter oozes confidence, though, and does not just believe he can beat Canelo, but also another super-middleweight fighter.

Terence Crawford believes he’d have beaten Carl Froch in his prime
Ahead of his fight with Canelo, Crawford interviewed with Carl Froch, who ended his career with a record of 33-2, having lost only to Andre Ward and Mikkel Kessler, who he later beat.
Froch jokingly jabbed at Crawford, stating the super-middleweight division was his. Froch was world champion in the super-middleweight division and staged two of the biggest fights in Britain against George Groves.
Crawford’s response to Froch was anything but a joke: “I would’ve beaten you, too.”
Froch asked how Crawford would’ve done it, to which he responded: “It’d be tough, man, because you’re tall, long, rangey. It’d be tough.”
Though Crawford is emanating confidence for the mega-fight, he did make one comment that startled some fans. Crawford said he was just 70% sure he beats Canelo.
