‘I will go all out’… Boxing legend welcomes fight with Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez

A boxing legend has said he is open to a fight with growing boxing star Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez.

Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez propelled himself into the list of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport when he stopped Juan Francisco Estrada.

Rodriguez delivered a sickening body shot to finish the world champion off in the seventh round of their contest.

‘Bam’ has been liked with a huge fight against fellow pound-for-pound star Naoya Inoue, but it looks like he could now fight another boxing great instead.

Boxing great open to fight against Jesse Rodriguez

Modern boxing legend Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez has expressed his interest in fighting Rodriguez.

‘Chocolatito’ has won titles in four weight divisions and even at 37 years of age is open to the challenge of facing ‘Bam’.

Gonzalez helped prepare his fellow promotional stablemate for his fight against Estrada but has said he would still be open to the fight.

‘Chocolatito’ told Levi Luna: “Anything can happen, we are with the same promoter, it depends on a negotiation, if they pay me well I will face ‘Bam’ [Rodriguez] and go all out.”

He added: “I still have good cartridges left.”

Rodriguez has been adding the names of boxing greats to his very impressive resume and has even nicknamed himself ‘The legend slayer’.

‘Bam’ has toppled the likes of Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, Carlos Cuadras, and Sunny Edwards, as well as Estrada in recent fights.

A name like ‘Chocolatito’ on his resume would give the young star one of the most impressive records in boxing.
