Paulie Malignaggi says Mario Barrios ‘sucks’ ahead of Manny Pacquiao fight
Paulie Malignaggi believes Mario Barrios isn’t a particularly good fighter.
With that in mind, despite Manny Pacquiao being 46, ‘The Magic Man’ still thinks he has a shot of reclaiming the 147-pound throne.
In an episode of Boxing Scene Today, the warrior said: “I think Mario Barrios sucks. I think Pacquiao has a chance.
“We don’t know if it’s going to be a totally shot Pacquiao like he looked in the exhibition [against Rukiya Anpo] or maybe in the exhibition he didn’t take it seriously.
“We’re not going to know until he sets foot in the ring on fight night with Barrios, and if he looks sharp, he didn’t take the exhibition seriously. Then, if he’s not sharp, then it’s probably what he looked like in the exhibition.”
