Kalvin Henderson kicked out after Jake Paul sparring performance
Kalvin Henderson, a 34-year-old light heavyweight boxer, recalled sparring with Jake Paul in an interview with FightHype.com. He feels that his performance during the sparring session may have ruined future opportunities with Paul.
Henderson says he was “doing what was asked of me” and began the sparring session lightly and tentatively. Then, one of Paul’s coaches encouraged Henderson to push Paul and test his skills.
Henderson only tested the influencer in a later sparring session. After one of the coaches told him, “you look like a sucker,” Henderson decided to spar with more intensity the next day.
“I just went straight to him,” Henderson said, describing his approach to Paul during sparring. “Unfortunately, that was the last time I sparred with Jake Paul.”
Henderson added that he bloodied Paul during the session and admitted, “I messed up the bag.” The sparring match allegedly took place before Paul’s fight with Tommy Fury. Reflecting on Paul’s loss, Henderson said, “Tommy Fury fought him the exact same way I sparred him last time.”
Henderson also said, “he needs this,” referring to Paul’s need for more intense sparring sessions.

Jake Paul to make boxing announcement in January
Following his blockbuster event with Mike Tyson in November of 2024, Jake Paul announced that he would be following up with a boxing announcement in January.
Without providing any further details of what the announcement might be, there are no clear opponents for the influencer.
There were previously discussions that Paul may make the move to MMA, due to his affiliation with the PFL. However, Paul’s tweet would make it seem as if he won’t be stepping into the cage anytime soon.
Jake Paul has been called out by the likes of Artur Beterbiev, Roy Jones Jr. and Carl Froch, however, the influencer has not shown a desire to accept these proposals.
