Unbeaten destroyer David Benavidez is not ruling out a massive fight with Oleksandr Usyk in the near future.
Running roughshod at the light heavyweight limit recently, Benavidez will put his championships up for grabs in November in a test against British stalwart Anthony Yarde.
Improving to 30-0 with his decision win over Dave Morell last time out in his sophomore outing, Benavidez has been linked with both an eventual cruiserweight move, as well as an eventual climb to heavyweight.

And while links to a showdown with the unbeaten Jai Opetaia persist, Benavidez has no qualms about another super fight.
David Benavidez assesses potential Oleksandr Usyk clash
With his rise in divisions, former super middleweight interim champion Benavidez continues to find himself linked with further climbs through divisions. And thus, a prospective super fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
And while a division separates the duo, Benavidez would be emulating Usyk’s prior career move if he ever made the leap to the cruiserweight limit — and then to heavyweight, too.
Remaining focused on his showdown with Yarde at the end of the year, Benavidez couldn’t help but be drawn to a pairing with the Ukrainian.
“I need to do what I am supposed to do at 175 lbs and cruiserweight before I can think about beating a legend in (Oleksandr) Usyk,” Benavidez told ESNews.
“I have tremendous respect for Usyk; he’s one of the greatest boxers I have personally ever watched.
“I’d have to do my work, I have to be a great champion at 175 lbs, I have to be a great champion at cruiserweight before I can even think about contending with Usyk.”
But while Benavidez has weighed up a future pairing with Usyk, the undisputed heavyweight star has also been linked with numerous other pairings.
Oleksandr Usyk warned about Jai Opetaia matchup
Becoming a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion with his knockout win over Daniel Dubois earlier this summer, Usyk seemingly has a limited future in the sport.

And as a result, a host of heavyweight and cruiserweight stars have thrown their names in the proverbial hat to face the kingpin.
Furthermore, the undefeated Oceanic star Opetaia has been touted as the biggest threat to Usyk’s reign at heavyweight as well as his unbeaten record, if he makes a mooted heavyweight move.
