‘I got bricks for hands’… Devin Haney sent chilling warning by future KO artist opponent

Devin Haney will return to the ring in November, as he is set for a new challenge in his boxing career.

Aiming to follow on from a unanimous decision victory over Jose Ramirez, Haney may feel he has a point to prove in his next outing.

A lackluster event in Times Square, New York, saw Haney on the receiving end of criticism. The bout was felt to be conducted at a low intensity, as fans were not impressed by the entertainment value.

However, when Haney takes on Brian Norman Jr. in November, he will have an exciting dance partner in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Brian Norman Jr. makes bold prediction ahead of upcoming bout with Devin Haney

Haney and Norman Jr. are scheduled to fight on November 22nd, as ‘The Dream’ is making the move to welterweight.

Norman Jr.’s WBO World Welterweight title will be on the line when the pair compete, as Haney makes his debut at 147 lbs.

‘The Assassin II’ Norman Jr. currently has an unbeaten record of 28-0, compared to Haney’s tally of 32-0. Among Norman Jr.’s wins, 22 have come by way of knockout. Previewing his fight against Haney, the welterweight champion expects a 23rd career stoppage.

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, Norman Jr. discussed his recently announced fight with Haney. When asked in the interview what is going to happen when they fight the welterweight champion said, “I think it’s going to be a great fight, while it lasts.”

When asked why he thought he would knock out Haney, Norman Jr. said, “Look, I’ve got bricks for hands. The first punch I landed on Jin Sasaki, he dropped. The first punch.”

In his last outing, Norman Jr. scored a brutal knockout over title challenger Jin Sasaki in the fifth round.

Norman Jr. was then presented with a potential scenario in which Haney fights the way he did in his last fight, by being evasive. Should that be the case, Norman Jr. feels, “It’s not really about what anyone else does.”

The champion went on to say, “It’s all about what I got going on. I’m not fighting them, they fighting me.”

Brian Norman Jr. has heaps of praise for Devin Haney

Despite feeling that he will knock Haney out when they meet in November, there were plenty of complimentary statements from Norman Jr.

The fighter gave Haney credit for always accepting “big fights and big challenges” in his career. “Have we ever heard of Devin Haney ducking a fight? No, we haven’t.”

As well as admiring Haney’s willingness to take on a challenge, Norman Jr. named some of the notable boxing traits ‘The Dream’ possesses.

“He got great feet, he got a great jab, he got great movement. Plus, the IQ that he has is also amazing.”

Norman Jr. then described Haney as ‘the perfect fighter’ for him to truly show his capabilities against.
