‘I don’t think anyone else is left’ – Oleksandr Usyk’s manager names the only fight heavyweight star wants if he wins Tyson Fury rematch

Oleksandr Usyk’s manager has claimed that there is only one fight that would interest his client if he beats Tyson Fury.

Usyk beat Fury to hand the Gypsy King as first career defeat in May and are set to do battle again on 21 December.

The Ukrainian’s victory saw him unify all four belts to become the first undisputed champion of the heavyweight division since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

Their rematch will only feature the WBA, WBC, and WBO belts after Usyk was stripped of his IBF belt after choosing to fulfill the contractual obligation of facing Fury again instead of taking on mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois.

Due to Usyk’s decision to relinquish the belt, Dubois was promoted from interim to full IBF champion and defended the title against Oleksandr Usyk.

The Brit will be watching with eager eyes on 21 December and Usyk’s manager Egis Klimas believes that a rematch between Dubois and his client would be the only option for Usyk should he beat Fury again.

“Would we set up a fight with Dubois if Usyk beats Fury? Absolutely,” Klimas told Boxing King Media.

“I don’t think anyone else is left in the heavyweight division. Right now, Daniel Dubois is the IBF champion.”

Frank Warren reveals Daniel Dubois stance on Usyk rematch

Given the difference in age between the two, Usyk certainly has less time than Dubois to make this rematch happen.

The 27-year-old shocked the world with his devastating win against Anthony Joshua in September and the Queensbury promoter admitted he would love to see Dubois get revenge over Usyk after his controversial loss in 2023.

“I’d love to see Daniel lace them up against Usyk again because I believe that he should have won that fight and I still believe it wasn’t a low blow,” Warren said.

“We’ll see what happens on the 21st of December in Riyadh.”
