‘I can take him to that next level’… Floyd Mayweather and Eddie Hearn in battle to sign P4P superstar

Floyd Mayweather and Eddie Hearn are in a battle to sign one of the pound-for-pound best fighters on the planet.

Floyd Mayweather and Eddie Hearn have battled it out for signatures from some of the best fighters around over the years.

Mayweather has led young fighters such as Gervonta Davis to become one of the biggest pay-per-view stars in the sport.

While Hearn has helped the likes of Anthony Joshua and Conor Benn become household names across the UK.

Now the pair look to battle it out for superstar Shakur Stevenson’s signature.

WBC lightweight champion Stevenson became a free agent earlier this month after his contract with Top Rank expired.

The champion has had multiple offers from different broadcasters but Mayweather and Hearn look to be the favorites to sign him.

Hearn recently told Seconds Out: “Right now Shakur Stevenson is one of the most talked about fighters in the world… I know I can make him a star, that’s easy for me.

“I’ve got the dates, I’ve got the platform, I’ve got the megaphone – let’s do it.”

Mayweather has said according to Boxing Kingdom: Hopefully [me and Shakur Stevenson] can come together and I can take him to that next level.”

Floyd Mayweather is the right man to guide Shakur Stevenson

Stevenson has been criticized for his boxing style in recent years and for not entertaining fans around the world.

The fighter elects for a safety-first method and would rather outpoint his opponent than take the risk of going for a knockout.

Mayweather had a very similar style when he was fighting but still managed to become one of the richest and biggest stars of the sport.

If Stevenson wants to reach the heights of becoming a pay-per-view star then he should team up with Mayweather Promotions.
