‘His style is very suited…’ Canelo Alvarez offered big warning about future fight with unbeaten British star

Putting the final touches on his camp ahead of his super fight with Terence Crawford, Canelo Alvarez already has another potential return on the horizon.

Set to return to the ring next month, Canelo Alvarez will put his undisputed super middleweight title up for grabs, matching with the undefeated Terence Crawford in a blockbuster pairing in Las Vegas.

And taking on all comers during his super middleweight reign, Jalisco star Canelo has taken out the best of challengers during his later career.

But as with boxing, contenders are coming thick and fast. With a certain undefeated British star chomping at the bit to fight Canelo Alvarez.

Hamzah Sheeraz backed to stop Canelo Alvarez in future fight

And one of those challenges may come in the form of Hamzah Sheeraz, who has drawn quite significant links to a showdown with Canelo already.

Unbeaten in his 23-fight career so far, Sheeraz infamously took out common foe Edgar Berlanga with a fifth round KO win just a month ago, stopping the Brooklyn native while Canelo failed to do so.

And suggested as a future opponent for Canelo off the back of his fight with Crawford next month, Sheeraz has the style to defeat the Mexican icon, according to an emerging prospect.

“I think his (Sheeraz’s) style is very suited to Canelo (Alvarez),” Zayn Ahmed told Box Nation. “Especially — he’s tall, rangy and can punch.”

“If I had to give a prediction — a late stoppage,” Ahmed revealed.

And himself gunning for a fight against the super middleweight legend, Sheeraz believes his stoppage win over Berlanga should prove more than enough to warrant him a showdown with Canelo, too.

Eddie Hearn keen to book Canelo Alvarez vs. Hamzah Sheeraz

Revealing plans to make some sizeable boxing outings next year, Matchroom Boxing leader Eddie Hearn revealed a fan-friendly wish list of fights he hopes to broker as soon as 2026.

And amongst that list is a super middleweight title fight between Canelo and Sheeraz, as well as an overdue scrap between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

” Diego Pacheco against Canelo Alvarez — or Hamzah Sheeraz. I like that fight as well,” Hearn told IFL TV about his plans for 2026.”
