Oleksandr Usyk continues to look for his next opponent following his recent impressive victory over Tyson Fury.
This past December, Oleksandr Usyk put a stamp on his rivalry with Tyson Fury after he scored a unanimous decision victory over the former champion.
Following that huge victory, there were murmurs that the Ukrainian may end up retiring from the sport after cleaning out the heavyweight decision, however, he teased at a potential move back down to Cruiserweight.
Fellow heavyweight champion, Daniel Dubois is one of his options at Heavyweight after their first clash ended quite controversially back in 2023, however, he will need to wait for the culmination of Dubois’ February clash against Joseph Parker.

Artur Beterbiev rules himself out of a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk
One of the only fighters to have beaten Usyk in the boxing ring is current undisputed Light Heavyweight champion, Artur Beterbiev.
The two first met on the amateur scene in 2007 when Beterbiev dropped and beat Usyk and then subsequently met twice after with Usyk exacting revenge.
Now they are both at the peak of their powers in professional boxing, there have been questions about whether they would fight again.
The Russian champion previously admitted that he would be interested in a fight against Usyk, stating that from a pure sporting perspective, it would be interesting and he would do it.
Despite that, the 40-year-old has recently walked back that claim, admitting that he wouldn’t be interested in fighting Usyk now because ‘he’s too good’.
“No, he’s too strong for me you know. He’s like heavyweight you know it’s too strong even if he came back down. He’s too strong (even at cruiserweight), too good,” Beterbiev told Fight Hub TV.
Artur Beterbiev is in the final weeks of preparation for historic clash
Although there were talks surrounding Beterbiev and Usyk, the 21-0 Light Heavyweight champion is in the final weeks of preparation for his rematch against Dmitry Bivol.
The two first met this past October in Riyadh and Beterbiev picked up the majority decision which resulted in a bit of controversy.
With their first clash being so well received and competitive, the most powerful man in boxing, Turki Alalshikh booked them to fight again this coming February 22 in the main event of one of the greatest boxing cards in the history of the sport.
