Jake Paul has a number of names linked to him following his unanimous decision victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June.
After Paul received a WBA ranking in the cruiserweight division, Gilberto Ramirez said he would welcome a title challenge from ‘The Problem Child’.
However, world title ambitions were not the only things on the mind of Paul in the aftermath of his last fight. Also calling out Tommy Fury and Gervonta Davis, it appears as if Paul is keeping his options open.
Another name mentioned by the 12-1 fighter was Anthony Joshua, who is seemingly a true option for Paul in the future.

Anthony Joshua is open to facing Jake Paul in the future, according to internet star
In a recent interview with IFL TV, Paul was asked about how realistic a fight with the former heavyweight world champion Joshua was.
For his response, Paul said, “It’s going to happen.”
Reflecting on a phone call he had with ‘AJ’, Paul said, “He just said he’s going to do two more fights, I’ll do two more fights, then we’ll do it in 2026.”
“He’s down. He said he’s going to kill me, and I’m going to have to fight for my life,” the internet star added. Paul said he then told Joshua, “Okay, let’s get it big boy.”
Both Canelo Alvarez and Gervonta Davis were also names that Paul feels are possible fights in the future, despite the vast weight differences between the three mentioned fighters.
Anthony Joshua still without opponent as ‘AJ’ has not competed since September 2024
Despite Tyson Fury coming out of retirement, it has become no clearer who or when Joshua will return to the ring.
‘AJ’ has not competed since his knockout loss to Daniel Dubois, which occurred in September 2024.
The loss reduced Joshua’s record to 28-4, as Dubois joined the likes of Oleksandr Usyk and Andy Ruiz Jr. in besting the British fighter.
Joshua is still expected to return in 2025, with a fight in the final quarter of the year being mentioned by Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn.
Should Paul and Joshua both compete twice before facing one another, that means the potential fight would likely not happen until the second half of 2026.
