Jake Paul appears to be the frontrunner for a massive showdown with Anthony Joshua next, but he is seemingly ready to switch focus.
Tied to a massive fight with former two-time heavyweight champion Joshua, polarizing prospect Paul is gearing up for a stunning clash with the Watford native.

And facing competition to take on the Olympian with former light heavyweight champion Andre Ward weighing up a stunning retirement u-turn, Paul remains open to other options.

Ready to walk away from the negotiation table, Paul apparently has his focus on another former heavyweight champion, too.
Jake Paul interested in fight with Deontay Wilder
Forever linked with the biggest names in boxing, Paul has even inserted himself into the picture to fight Canelo Alvarez, too — especially in the wake of the Mexican boxer’s clash with Terence Crawford next month.

Another fight Paul has long been interested in is a showdown with former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
But with talks of a grudge fight with Joshua taking shape, Paul’s apparent interest in fighting the knockout king hasn’t waned in the slightest.
“Jake (Paul) is dead serious about the Deontay Wilder fight,” Malik Scott told Seconds Out. “…They’re just so serious. Some of the things that he (Nakisa Bidarian) said confidently to me really makes you know that they’re not fake confident. They really are confident.
“We’re talking about Jake in the ring with Deontay Wilder, it just makes no sense at all,” Scott explained. “But unfortunately, Jake Paul is a big-money guy in the sport of boxing right now.”
Deontay Wilder’s team weigh up Jake Paul clash
Snapping his two-fight skid back in June, Wilder would stop Tyrrell Anthony Herndon in the seventh round of his return.

And lining up some sizeable fights for the remainder of his run at heavyweight, the Alabama star’s team have welcomed the chance to secure a “big payday” opposite Paul.
“So, you know, I might say, ‘Hey, this is a great opportunity. You may get laughed at thinking it’s a freak show or people might say, wow, this is interesting and you know it’s a big payday,” Wilder’s manager Shelly Finkel told SunSport.
