Eddie Hearn has named Gervonta Davis among a list of the fighter who dislike his brash brand of promoting the most in boxing.
The Matchroom Boxing boss is one of the most controversial figures in the promotional game, and has made plenty of enemies in his pursuit of major events. From legendary clashes with David Haye to this week’s Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn shenanigans, Hearn is always amongst the chaos.
And asked by BloodyKnockout in an exclusive chat who he clashed heads with the most, he admitted that it may be a long list.
Eddie Hearn lists Gervonta Davis among fighters who hate him most
Eddie Hearn is a divisive figure to say the least, winding up fighters and fans alike with his aggressive brand of promoting events around the world. He has rivalries with multiple major names in the sport, including some of the best fighters in the world.

In an exclusive chat with BloodyKnockout this week, Hearn noted that he has had quite a few rivals over the years. “There’s been loads,” he laughed when asked who has hated him the most during his career as a promoter.
“Artur Beterbiev has ended up being quite friendly now but he has been like that. David Haye, Gervonta Davis, to be honest with you I don’t mind that stuff. Any time where we can chat and I can use my talking skills I’m quite comfortable.”
Eddie Hearn claims Chris Eubank Jr copied David Haye in press conference shutdown
Throughout this week, Hearn has been at the top table with Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn as they promote their massive April 26 grudge fight. He was front and centre when Eubank slapped his rival with an egg at the first face-off, and was told he must not talk by his rival fighter during the same event.
But Hearn reckons it’s all just an act stolen from David Haye, saying: “It’s a carbon copy of what David Haye did and it was what Eubank always does which is pre-meditated. He doesn’t sit there at the presser and it just happens.
“He goes ‘when Eddie talks do this or say that’. That’s what I was p—ed off about with the egg thing, people knew he was going to do that and they didn’t stop him. I promise you if Conor Benn said to me he was going to whack Conor Benn with an egg I would say ‘mate what are you doing?’ Don’t do that.”
