Gervonta Davis will aim to maintain his 30-0 undefeated record on March 1st in Brooklyn.
Facing 25-1-1 Lamont Roach, ‘Tank’ Davis will look to build on an eighth-round knockout last June. His opponent, Roach, will come into the bout on a six-fight winning streak, also scoring a knockout last time out.
The former super featherweight world champion will also look to improve his impressive knockout statistics. With 28 wins coming via knockout, Isaac Cruz is the only fighter not to be finished by Davis in the last 10 years.
Although Davis’ focus will very much be set on Roach in March, there is another lightweight contender who has been trying to grab the attention of ‘Tank’.

12-0 world title challenger makes bold call about Gervonta Davis
As one of the biggest names in the lightweight division, Gervonta Davis is in the eyes of many of the top fighters in the weight class. Keyshawn Davis is no exception to this.
Keyshawn Davis is set to challenge for the WBO World Lightweight title when he takes on Denys Berinchyk. The pair will come together on February 14th, in what is Keyshawn Davis’ first world title opportunity.
Although Keyshawn Davis has previously said he has no interest in fighting Shakur Stevenson, that hasn’t stopped him from mentioning another top name in the division.
Speaking to Fight Hub TV, Keyshawn Davis had some choice words for Gervonta Davis.
When asked about what his plans were for the remainder of 2025, Keyshawn Davis responded by saying, “After I knock Berinchyk out in the first round, I would love to fight the face of boxing in the 135 division… You know who it is. I just think he don’t got the balls to fight me.”
“I don’t think he really got the balls to send me on a contract and fight me.”
Should Gervonta Davis win his bout on March 1st, his next opponent is not clear. Despite ‘Tank’ responding to claims he should fight Naoya Inoue, and rumors circulating he should fight Stevenson, Gervonta Davis has not publically set his sights on either.

Keyshawn Davis eyes up Pitbull Cruz
Gervonta Davis was not the only top lightweight that Keyshawn Davis mentioned as a possibility.
“I would love to fight Pitbull Cruz,” Keyshawn Davis told Fight Hub TV. “That’s something the fans would go crazy over.”
Cruz has also been called out by Ryan Garcia after he successfully defeated Angel Fierro on February 1st.
However, it is currently unknown who Cruz will fight in his next outing as he looks to build on his 27-3-1 record.
