Daniel Dubois announced himself on the world stage when he pulverized Anthony Joshua with a thundering right hand to score a scintillating fifth-round stoppage.
The 27-year-old emphatically halted proceedings at Wembley Stadium after flooring his opponent four times in a one-sided beatdown on Saturday night.
But now, Daniel Dubois has turned his attention to a potential clash with the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury, with the eagerly awaited rematch taking place on December 21.
However, Queensberry Promotions boss Frank Warren harbors some reservations regarding the possible showdown between two of his most accomplished and valued fighters.

Frank Warren does not want to see Tyson Fury vs Daniel Dubois
After retaining his IBF world heavyweight title against Anthony Joshua, Dubois could be presented with the opportunity to become an undisputed champion next year.
The three remaining belts in the division are held by Usyk, who relinquished his IBF trinket following his sensational victory over Fury in May.
If Fury is able to avenge his defeat to the Ukrainian champion later this year, though, an undisputed fight with Dubois is likely to put Warren in a sticky situation.
On BoxNation, Warren said: “Personally, I don’t really want to see that fight happen between the two of them, because I like them both.
“I have made fights lots of times with our guys when the business has called for it, but… I would feel pretty awkward [if Fury vs Dubois got made].
“We’ll just see what happens, and we’ll take it as it comes. If the two best heavyweights have got to get it on, they’ll get it on. They’ll make some money; Queensberry [Promotions] will make some money – we’ll all do well out of it.”
How would Tyson Fury vs Daniel Dubois pan out?
Of course, Fury must get through Usyk – perhaps the toughest test of his career – before he can even entertain a matchup with Dubois.
But, then again, it is worth considering how a domestic dustup between the pair would unfold.
Tyson Fury | Result | Daniel Dubois | Result |
Derek Chisora | Stoppage win | Jarrell Miller | Stoppage win |
Francis Ngannou | Split decision win | Filip Hrgovic | Stoppage win |
Oleksandr Usyk | Split decision defeat | Anthony Joshua | Stoppage win |
Dubois certainly has the momentum behind him with three straight wins against highly-ranked opposition and, more importantly, seems to be entering his prime, with his devastating power now having a greater impact than ever.
It must be said that Fury, meanwhile, is firmly at the tail end of his career, but is nonetheless capable of causing any heavyweight problems with his awkward style and size.
