Dillian Whyte has withdrawn from his last two scheduled fights, and it remains to be seen who he will face next.
Dillian Whyte‘s record sits at 31-3 after defeating Ebenezer Tetteh in his latest outing in Gibraltar.
Whyte, who hasn’t had a major fight since 2022, when he edged a win over Jermaine Franklin, having lost to Tyson Fury one fight earlier, was meant to return to the ring against Joe Joyce, but was replaced by Filip Hrgovic after withdrawing with injury.
Whyte, now injury-free, was scheduled to fight on Fabio Wardley‘s undercard tonight, but withdrew from the bout with no opponent ever announced.
One former champion has had his say on Whyte, and on whether he’ll rise to the top again.

Carl Froch believes Dillian Whyte will never reach the top of the heavyweight division again
In a video on his YouTube channel, former world champion Carl Froch, who defeated George Groves in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley, had his say on Whyte’s career.
He said: “[Whyte] struggles at world level, I don’t think he’s world class.”
He continued: “I just think Dillian Whyte’s had his career, he’s had his chance, and now he’s at the end of his career probably trying to make a few quid.”
Whyte, who KO’d Derek Chisora, is a two-time interim champion, but never quite made it to the top as a full world champion.
He defeated Oscar Rivas in 2019 for the vacant interim title, before losing and regaining it in his two fights with Alexander Povetkin. Whyte KO’d Povetkin in their rematch.
Dillian Whyte may return against former cruiserweight champion
Whyte’s return may see him face a fighter who has long accused him of ducking.
Lawrence Okolie has called out Whyte numerous times, and even leaked sparring footage of the two.

Okolie made his heavyweight debut in December, stopping his opponent inside a round.
Prior to that, Okolie made his bridgerweight debut, becoming world champion with a one-round-blitz of Lukasz Rozanski.
