Moses Itauma is scheduled to face Dillian Whyte in August in what will be a major step-up fight.
Moses Itauma continues to rise in the heavyweight rankings after his quick finish of Mike Balogun last time out.
Balogun was criticized for his lackluster resume and unimpressive caliber, but made it further than Demsey McKean, who was flattened in one round by Itauma one fight earlier.
Now, in a step-up against a former interim champion and well-respected heavyweight, Itauma will face Dillian ‘The Bodysnatcher’ Whyte.

Shannon Briggs speaks on Moses Itauma being dropped
Ahead of Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois, former heavyweight champion and the man who retired George Foreman, Shannon Briggs, was asked what he thought of the heavyweight landscape.
Briggs praised the scene, and suggested the division is blooming with impressive talent.
One man he was keen to watch is Moses Itauma, who Briggs claimed to rate highly.
He did, however, let slip that he had heard Itauma was dropped in sparring a couple times ahead of his upcoming fight.
Briggs, who called out Klitschko and Haye, said, “I just heard that rumor, this morning or last night, I don’t know if it’s true. Somebody said he’s been downed in the gym a couple times but that don’t mean nothing, because the gym don’t win fights.”
Briggs gave his view of the fight, “Dillian ain’t no pushover, but I like Moses.”
Shannon Briggs threatened to knock out UFC veteran’s teeth
Later in the interview, Briggs was asked whether he would fight again, to which he responded:
“I just came back from Miami and met with Adin Ross. He said he wanted to make the fight between me and Rampage Jackson. Rampage, I’mma knock out all your teeth.”
Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson last fought in the UFC in 2015. He shared the octagon with Jon Jones, Chuck Liddell, Wanderlei Silva, and Glover Teixeira.
