This coming Saturday in Saudi Arabia, one of the greatest boxing events of all time is set to take place with several titles on the line from the Kingdom Arena.
The saviour of boxing, Turki Alalshikh put together ‘The Last Crescendo’ event, headlined by a huge rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.
Also on the card is a huge Heavyweight title fight between Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker, with the winner potentially separating themselves as Oleksandr Usyk’s next opponent.
Shakur Stevenson was also scheduled to defend his Lightweight title on the card against unlikely contender Floyd Schofield; however, things have unfortunately taken a turn for the worse.

Shakur Stevenson predicted Schofield’s fight withdrawal
Earlier this week, it was announced that the big Lightweight title fight between Stevenson and ‘Kid Austin’ has been called off by the Boxing Board of Control after the challenger fell ill.
Originally, Schofield was the one who pushed hard for the fight to happen as Stevenson wasn’t too keen on the idea of fighting someone with as little experience as the 22-year-old.
Less than a week out from their scheduled meeting, Stevenson had a strange feeling that Schofield was looking for a way to get out of the fight.
“I’m actually scared that (Floyd Schofield) won’t show up to the fight… I just feel like they’re looking for a way out,” Stevenson told All the Smoke.
Floyd Schofield breaks silence following withdrawal
Despite the fight not taking place, their feud has seemingly continued, with Schofield breaking his silence on social media, accusing Stevenson’s team of foul play.
“Eddie (Hearn) is a liar. What’s done in the dark will come to light, trust and believe,” he first said on X.
“I won’t say his name but their team needs to be banned from the sport. I can see why people duck him, because of the bull that comes with his team,” Schofield continued.
In a now-deleted tweet on Schofield’s X, his father said: “They poisoned my son… Is this SNAC work? Shakur’s massage lady wiped a cream on my son.”
Although Schofield’s withdrawal has come so close to fight night, Stevenson will seemingly remain on the card, defending his title against late-notice step-in, Josh Padley who has completed a check weigh-in this Wednesday morning before making his way to Saudi Arabia.
