Curmel Moton has received some words of wisdom from a big boxing star.
The 18-year-old prospect recently sent shockwaves through the world of boxing when he missed weight by 14.8lbs for his seventh professional fight.
Understandably, Floyd Mayweather’s protégé saw his latest outing get called off before he was mocked by fans online for one of the worst weight misses of all time.
Now a fighter formerly promoted by Mayweather has had his say on the controversial incident.

Gervonta Davis offers Curmel Moton some advice
Gervonta Davis was the first prospect Floyd Mayweather focused on after retiring.
In recent years, their relationship has somewhat soured, but ‘Tank’ still has the best interests of the latest youngster under Mayweather’s wing at heart.
Davis was recently asked about his thoughts on Moton’s weight miss while promoting his upcoming fight with Lamont Roach, which will take place on March 1 in New York.
The WBA lightweight champion burst into laughter before offering Moton some advice that should help him avoid making the same weight mistake again.
“I don’t wanna do him crazy because he’s on the come up,” Davis said.
“I would try to wild out because he tried to do that with the Floyd s***.
“Stay in shape, young champ. Stay in the gym.”
Gervonta Davis plans to retire in 2025
Davis is just 30 years old and has yet to test himself at the very top.
A knockout win over fellow rising star Ryan Garcia is the best on his resume right now.
However, he recently revealed that he plans to retire before the start of 2026.
“After next year, I’m out of it,” Davis said during a press conference promoting his fight with Roach.
“Yeah, out of this sport… S***’s trash. This s*** is trash, garbage.
“Fed up. I’m fed up with the whole s***.
“I’ll probably be building my real estate portfolio, just trying to separate myself from the limelight
“I just wanna be able to make money and stay out the way, that’s it. I want to be living without being seen.”
