Curmel Moton earns 3rd round TKO win over opponent
Fighting on the undercard of David Benavidez vs David Morrell, Moton came up against Frank Zaldivar, who boasted a 5-1 record.
After winning the first two rounds, Moton was able to put an end to the contest in the second half of round three.
A continuous flurry of punches pinned Zaldivar in the corner. Picking his shots well, Moton was able to do enough damage to convince the referee the fight was over.

Curmel Moton missed weight by 14 pounds in his last scheduled fight
Although Moton was able to impress fans with his performance on Saturday night, he is not too far removed from being the subject of criticism.
In November of 2024, Moton was scheduled to fight at 133 lbs for a fight against Bryan Mercada. However, he missed the weight by a huge 14.8lbs.
Due to the extremity of the weight discrepancy, the bout was canceled and never rescheduled.
Explaining his reason for missing weight, Moton said that he didn’t think the fight would be going ahead due to the bout not being sanctioned as his bloodwork was lost. In light of this, he decided to stop cutting weight.
However, Moton had no issues making weight in his last outing, weighing in at 134.8 pounds in February of 2025.
